This is my intial attempt at creating a banner for yet another blog I have in the works. I’m torn between “American Perspectives” and “Perspectives of America.”
Before parting ways for the summer, my adopted academic advisor here in Amherst, Bob Maloy (easily, the sweetest man in the world) suggested to my class of future history teachers that we think about creating a blog for our professional careers. Bob is very enthusiastic about integrating technology into classroom in order to benefit both the students and teachers.
I would end up using a blog like this to post assignments and class notes for students, while also providing those interested with links, videos, etc. for added enrichment. I absolutely love the idea and can’t wait to get started.
Also, Bob informed us that school systems love to see potential employees taking this kind of initiative—presenting something like this at a job interview is very impressive.
